Held each fall, the Camden International Film Festival highlights works that show dedication to craft and a unique approach to telling a good story. All films are selected because of their ability to arouse discussion on documentary film as an art form, a catalyst for change, and as an outlet for the independent voice. Our sixth annual festival will occur Sept. 27-30, 2012.
An evening lantern-lit tour explores one of 5 different midcoast Maine villages, including Camden, discovering ghosts & history, spirits & mystery. Buildings that once seemed ordinary take on eerie new dimensions as The Lady in the Red Cloak relives their history & that of the ghostly entities said to still reside there. The acclaimed blues music festival attracts world-famous blues musicians for a two-day event, July 14 & 15, 2012. Held at Harbor Park overlooking picturesque Rockland Harbor. Festival admission includes a popular club crawl Saturday evening.
On July 15th, spend the day touring beautiful homes and gardens in Midcoast Maine, on the Camden Garden Club’s 63rd Annual House & Garden Tour. From 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. you will see unique sites which include interesting and unusual art and accessories. Tickets are available in advance for $25 online or for $30 on tour day.
